Science Connections: Autonomous Boat Cleaning Micro Plastics

A team from Cornell Engineering will demonstrate a new autonomous boat equipped with a snail-inspired pumping mechanism for removing microplastics from oceans, lakes, and rivers which has a negative effect on the ecosystem. Through live demos and hands-on activities you can learn about the robot, how plastics end up in the waterways, and how we can all help to prevent this from happening in the future.
