Successful 2004 Annual Campaign Makes Great Things Happen!

Recently, we folded our Annual Fund request into our membership renewal process. When you receive your Membership Renewal Reminder by mail you will be asked to consider making your Annual Fund gift at this time as well.

In 2004, gifts made to the Sciencenter Annual Fund totaled in excess of $115,000; surpassing our goal and making this annual campaign effort the most successful in the organization's history. Gifts made to the Sciencenter - especially those made in addition to annual membership contributions - are having a great impact on the museum.

We are incredibly grateful to those individuals who choose to include us in their annual giving. In fact, we could not do the things we do without this important source of revenue because it allows us to meet our operational costs and have the flexibility to take on exciting new opportunities as they arise.

"This past year's successful annual campaign allowed us to make some significant steps forward toward realizing our vision of reaching all of the children in our local community," states executive director, Charlie Trautmann. "For example, we were able to expand our afterschool programming at GIAC and Beverly J. Martin Elementary School. And, we were also able to create several new exhibitions, such as a full 18 holes of Galaxy Golf and our current exhibition Ready, Set...Roll! ,which would not have been possible otherwise."
