Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

Join us to celebrate a partial eclipse of the sun. The Sciencenter will have a limited number of special glasses available from 2 – 3 pm for guests to borrow and share to safely watch the eclipse on the Science Playground.

Rain or shine, Sciencenter guests can enjoy special hands-on activities to explore the science of eclipses from 2 -3 pm.

From 10 am – 3 pm, come watch a live stream of NASA’s total solar eclipse broadcast in our amphitheater.

Never look directly at the sun without appropriate protection!

Explore contemporary life and culture in China through the stories of four children in the city of Hangzhou at our featured fall exhibition, “Children of Hangzhou: Connecting with China.” Learn how Chinese life today mixes ancient traditions with modern lifestyles through immersive activities based on the real homes, schools, and interests of the children featured.
